Photogaphy : A Cabbage Story

I love having real flowers as decoration around the house. It just brings the house or area to life. I used to be able to buy real flowers every weekend when I was in Melbourne. In KL however, I find it really hard to get fresh flowers, especially in the area that I live in.

Today,

Gateauxlicious

' big boss,

Asma'

, brought me to a florist wholesaler. Unfortunately due to the festive season, most of the flowers were gone! I had to settle with the flowers above (not that I'm complaining!). While looking for flowers, I stumbled upon this cabbage looking flower. The colour and the look of it is so unique, I decided to just get it. The cabbage looking flower is actually called Brassica. It looks like a mixture of cabbage and rose. I love the combination of green and purple together, it's just too pretty. Hydrangeas are one of my favourite flowers, I'm so happy I was able to get a decent bunch and it's in my favourite colour purple as well! The carnations were a last minute decision, I thought the vibrant red colour would go really well with my turquoise vase. When I went back home, I quickly arranged the flowers so I can capture it during sunset. It was just so magical.

Wish I have the luxury to buy fresh flowers everyday.

Chinese New Year Decor 2012

Hi everyone. Hope all of you are doing well so far.
I had too much good food and fun during the Lunar New Year that I've fallen ill for the past 2 days but rest assured, I am feeling much better now.

Just wanted to share some decor pictures I took recently at home and at a few famous shopping malls in Malaysia.

My all time favourite mall decoration is Pavilion's.
They always go all out with their decoration, be it Christmas, or any other festive seasons.

What do you think?

There's still 5 more days till the end of Lunar New Year celebration so I can still wish everyone a very
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR.
May all your wishes come true this year of Dragon.

Food:{Wondermilk, Kuala Lumpur}

I've heard of Wondermilk a lot times and whenever I'm back home in Kuala Lumpur. My younger brother have always wanted to bring me there to try their cupcakes since he knows I'm a big fan of sweet things.

It wasn't until recently that I had the chance to visit one of Wondermilk's outlet in Publika, a newly opened shopping mall in KL.
The interior of Wondermilk's cafe is so cute and pretty! :)
It makes you want to eat cupcakes and have a cuppa.

They are well known for their scrumptious cupcakes and novelty cupcake designs.
But I heard their savoury food is good too. My brother raves about their "Sloppy Fries".

With happy people eating happy food. I wasn't hungry when we were there, so I didn't have any cupcake but was admiring their interior decoration instead.
L-R: Alia, Rosie, Zariq & Phobear :)

According to them, the cupcakes were delicious.

Love how they have cute little random things at a corner :)

I have to go back there to try their "Sloppy Fries".

If you happen to be in KL and would like to pay them a visit, here's their information:

Interior Decor: Turquoise

It's been a while since I've done an Interior Decor post so here's one with lots of turquoise in it! :)

I've developed a love for this colour recently and also, it doesn't help that I see this colour everywhere in the shopping mall. From stationaries, to kitchenware, clothes and also shoes!

Talking about shoes, I recently made a purchase. Remember the the turquoise wedges I was raving about in this post?
Well, these babies ran out very quickly in my size (AU 37). The last pair has stains on the right shoe so I decided not get it.

I got THIS instead:
wittner.com.au

I love the electric blue and turquoise combination! :)

It hurts so badly the first time I wore it, but I still love them.
Maybe I should hammer the back of the shoes to soften it...

Back to turquoise interior decor.
This colour will make any room look livelier and happier.
However, too much of it could be an eyesore. Subtleness is the key here when it comes to this colour.

Here are some inspiration pictures:

Do you or do you not like the colour turquoise?
