Weekend & a Shout Out

Last weekend was Mom's last day with us and we decided to treat her to a nice breakfast at Miss Marmalade in Brunswick. It was also an early birthday celebration for her. We hardly spend time together on her birthday ever since we left for Melbourne to further our studies so it was nice to be able to do that. :)

The scene:

Love how they customized Ikea's bekvam stool. I swear those bekvam stools are the most comfortable stool ever. I have 2 sitting in my house now.

The menu:
Me and my compulsory coffee shot :)

The food!
My sister ordered their "bacon eggs benny" which was scrumptious, especially the potato cake.

Mom ordered their "Jack's cheddar with bacon".
This was only average but tasted very healthy.

I ordered their "Greens truly free range eggs with tomato relish and mushrooms on the side".
The eggs were cooked to perfection and the tomato relish was really yum.
The mushrooms however were a little dry but again, tasted very healthy.
Overall experience was great.
Coffee was good, potato cake was yum, the atmosphere was very laid back and relaxing.
I would definitely go back there again for their coffee and potato cake.

Oh, not forgetting their Walnut brownie which we bought for Mom since she's not big on sweets.
Yup you guessed it, it was absolute YUM! :)
