Ladylike Lace

Lace has been a key trend for a while now but the ultra-feminine style continues to make it onto our new season crush list. This season mix your lace with denim and when it gets colder layer up with oversized knits, patterned leggings and biker boots.
There are so many lace pieces out there this season that there is bound to be something for everyone. If lace is something you can only handle in small doses then try a cute blouse with lace trim or a more casual vest style top that isn’t too prissy if the overly-girly look isn’t usually your thing but you would like to experiment with the style.

A lace designer dress is always a winner for a romantic evening and choosing a structured shape will only add to the glamour. Teamed with a slick of blood red lipstick and platform heels these dresses are made to be sexy, feminine and extra alluring. Shades of red and black will always have added sophistication value and work all year round.

Statement trousers and shorts (coloured cable knit tights will look great with these) are a huge trend this season, and lace has got in on the act too. By keeping the top half simple with a cute pussy bow blouse you will avoid over working the trend and making it look too much, the lace will be a statement in itself. If accessories are your weakness go for plenty of metallic bangles and a pair of drop earrings will complete the look.

A skirt that can be worn day or night is an essential buy this season. Try tieing in other key trends in this look such as layering, rich reds or bright neon colours. Keep things simple in the day for the office with a classic white shirt and crank up the style in the evenings with a silk blouse in a block colour. Try mixing black with neon pink or deep red with navy.
