A/W Trends You Can Wear Now

The Spring Summer catwalk shows have drawn to a close, and it’s time to take a look at what we’ll all be wearing next season. But if you’re already bored of the pastels or sport luxe trend, what can we get our hands on now? Well there are a few trends emerging that you can already get in the shops. Take a look, and beat the fashion crowd…

Monochrome Prints
These were seen all over the catwalks, from Moschino’s bold, dog tooth, striped and chequered prints, to Versace’s gothic influenced collection of black dresses embellished with tiny white crosses. Proving that there’s more than one way to wear monochrome prints next season; fun and flirty or sexy and dramatic. Get in on the monochrome print trend early with this striped shift dress from River Island at ASOS.

Skater Skirts
These are still hot for A/W as the Brits have proven. Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney and Victoria Beckham all showed elegant skater dresses with McCartney opting for eye popping electric blue whereas VB opted for a more understated selection of little black skater dresses. Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen didn’t disappoint with her skater skirts in swathes of fabric, creating a much more theatrical look. For the cooler weather look for skater dresses with a scoop neck and three quarter length sleeves, in on-trend colours of blue or purple.

Peplums
These are going to be huge for A/W. Emphasis is definitely on the hips, as peplums were seen everywhere from Burberry Prorsum  to Rolan Mouret. Burberry created peplums on elegant pencil skirts in herringbone tweed and stripes, whereas Mouret opted for fitted peplum tops and long length jackets that flared out at the hips. Check out this little beauty from ASOS and channel the peplums trend.

Whatever way you wear them, stay ahead and try out these trends for next season.
